Dan Forrest is a South Carolina-based, internationally-renowned composer whose “Requiem for the Living” has been presented all over the world since its premiere in 2014. A Requiem, at its core, is a prayer for rest – traditionally, for the deceased. The five movements of Dan Forrest’s “Requiem for the Living,” however, form a narrative just as much for the living, and their own struggle with pain and sorrow. The Sandlapper Singers are thrilled to share the stage with the Charleston Southern University Concert Singers and chamber orchestra accompaniment to present this glorious masterwork!
