Spring Concert 2019
The Sandlapper Singers are thrilled to offer the second biennial Masters Youth Choir experience, led by one of the fastest rising stars in the choral world, Michael John Trotta. Recognized as a dynamic clinician and “one of the most exciting and prominent new composers of choral music,” Trotta will lead a two-day intensive workshop for the Sandlapper Singers, alongside local and regional high school students. The experience will culminate in a concert for the public, exclusively featuring Trotta’s award-winning compositions, which are frequently performed around the world. 1918-2018: A Concert to Remember
2018 marks 100 years since the end of World War I. To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, the Sandlapper Singers will present “1918-2018: A Concert to Remember,” on April 26 & April 27, 2018 in Columbia and Irmo. Through song, music, and readings, the Sandlapper Singers will remember the nearly five million Americans who served and the 116,000 men and women gave their lives in this war that forever changed the world and devastated a generation.
